While the platform continued to attract new members, its visual language and interaction patterns felt dated compared to competitors, creating a fragmented brand experience that made it harder to build long-term trust and engagement.

As market trends and user expectations evolved, our team recognized the need for a modernized brand presence that felt cohesive across all touchpoints. I led the redesign of the Swagbucks mobile app, translating the refreshed brand identity into a cohesive, user-centered experience. The update introduced a new navigation system, reimagined game cards and reward feedback loops for clarity and delight.

Collaborating closely with the Creative Director, marketing specialists, and developers, we built a scalable design system aligned with our brand’s new direction. This design system was rooted in fun, modern simplicity, and approachability.

Our refreshed color palette paired a vibrant royal blue (trust and energy) with a bold, youthful violet (confidence and personality), giving the app a sense of vibrance and momentum that reflected the brand’s renewed energy.

The Impact

Within six months, user satisfaction rose by 12%, based on pre- and post-launch surveys. The refreshed experience successfully bridged the gap between mobile and web, improved brand perception, and positioned Swagbucks as a more modern, reliable, and engaging rewards platform.
